You may have seen some changes around here

It’s been a long, winding road, but we’re thrilled to share that our family farm is inching closer to opening its doors to the public. While the idea of welcoming visitors to our land fills us with excitement, the reality of the transformation has been a slow, methodical, and costly process.

To ensure the safety and comfort of our future guests, we’ve had to undertake significant renovations. Here’s a glimpse into the challenges we’ve faced:

  • Outdated Infrastructure: Our farm was in dire need of modern infrastructure. We’ve invested in upgrading the electrical system, ensuring it can handle the demands of all the extra things we put into the potting shed turned tasting room. Not least of all the new bartop we built by hand.
  • Safety: Doors had to be modified or replaced in order to be up to code. We installed new smoke detectors, CO detectors, fire extinguishers, and emergency lights throughout the property to ensure our guests will be safe.
  •  New Bathrooms: Our two new flushable units with sinks are a major upgrade over the porta units that we once used.
  • New Parking: This year we built a new driveway and the new parking lot will be able to handle twice as many cars as previously!

While these renovations have been time-consuming and often challenging, they’ve been a labor of love. We’re excited to create a space where people can connect and learn about mead.

Unfortunately we didn’t meet the deadlines that we set for ourselves. We wanted to open our new doors to you this December but our last project is wrapping up its final inspection after the holidays.

A Look Ahead

Our first phase of opening will be hosting private events, including weddings, showers, and other parties. There will be some lag time in between the finalized construction granting local township approval to host general events, and the NJ ABC granting us state approval to sell our mead and cider.

As we continue to work towards our grand opening, we hope to share more updates on our progress. We can’t wait to welcome you over!
